Don’t Sleep on Preventative Maintenance

Posted on AC Maintenance, The Cooler Blog September 29, 2010

Some homeowners may view preventative maintenance (PMA) as an ‘add-on’ that the HVAC industry tries to sell them to make a little extra money. While less-than-scrupulous companies may sell PMA visits and then skimp on the service, a responsible company will offer fairly-priced PMA appointments that are performed properly by a highly-trained technician to help maintain the overall health of your system. Just like you concern yourself with periodic oil changes and maintenance when it comes to your car, periodic maintenance on your A/C is also important.

Preventative maintenance can go a long way in preventing malfunctions or catching smaller problems before they grow into larger ones. During a preventative maintenance, an All Year Cooling technician will perform several tasks designed to inspect various aspects of your system and make any necessary adjustments. We’ll check and clean your filter, lubricate all moving parts, check your refrigerant level, check your oil level, treat your condensate pans with algae tabs as well as so much more. We’ll also give you a written report of any recommended additional work or repairs. You can read more about preventative maintenance from All Year Cooling HERE.

If you’re interested in preventative maintenance or would like to learn more about the service, just give us a call or shoot us an email. We’ll gladly provide you with all of the information you need about the different plans we offer (one, two or three year, annual or biannual agreements) as well as the work performed on each appointment.
