All Year Cooling is proud to announce that Dan Uggla, a two-time All-Star second baseman, will be sponsoring our company! You’ll soon see Uggla in television ads, on the radio and in print advertisements around South Florida promoting All Year Cooling’s unmatched customer service and quality installation.
Uggla is a two time All-Star (2006 and 2008) and was named the Sporting News National League Rookie of the Year in 2006—an honor that has been bestowed upon Jackie Robinson, Willie Mays, Frank Robinson, Pete Rose, Joe Morgan, Cal Ripken, Jr. and Derek Jeter, as well as a host of other current and future Hall of Famers including former Florida outfielder and recent HOF Inductee Andre Dawson.
He also has the distinction of being the fastest second baseman in history to reach 100 homeruns, accomplishing the feat in just 502 games—34 fewer than the former record holder, Alfonso Soriano. Uggla has hit at least 25 home runs and 85 RBIs in each of his first four major league seasons, and has quickly become one of the game’s premier second basemen.
Follow Uggla and the Fish all summer long as they make a push for the third playoff run in team history. And don’t forget to vote for Uggla for the 2010 National League All-Star team! As of today, he sits in fourth place among NL second basemen despite hitting more home runs and RBIs than all players ahead of him*. His .270 batting average is equal to that of leading vote-getter Chase Utley, and higher than Rickie Weeks’*, currently the second leading vote-getter.
