Dan Uggla, two-time all-star and All Year Cooling sponsor, reached 100 RBIs for the first time in his career on a solo home run in the 8th inning of last night’s game in Atlanta. The home run was his 32nd of the season, which ties his career high set in 2008.
Uggla’s .286 batting average would be a career high if he maintains it through the final week of the season. His on-base percentage of .369 would also be a career high. With a career high already set in RBIs, possible career highs in batting average and on-base percentage and needing just one more home run to set a career high, Uggla is enjoying a career year.
Be sure to check out Uggla and the Fish as they wrap up their series with Atlanta this afternoon and begin their final series of the season when Pittsburgh comes to town for a four-game series.
