The 113A operates at energy efficiency levels up to 14.00 SEER, helping homeowners reduce their energy consumption. When homeowners upgrade to a higher-efficiency air conditioner they may save hundreds of dollars a year on their home energy bills. When matched with certain systems, the 113A is an Energy Star rated product for exceptional energy efficiency.
R-410A refrigerant, also called Puron, is used with this unit as a replacement for R-22 refrigerant. R-22 is considered an ozone-harming HCFC and is being phased out over the next several years in accordance with the EPA. Eco-friendly, EPA-approved alternatives such as R-410A are replacing R-22 in newly manufactured units. R-410A does not sacrifice comfort while allowing homeowners to be more environmentally responsible in their home cooling needs.

The single-stage scroll compressor of the 113A ensures the quiet operation of the system and helps to improve efficiency. Unlike a reciprocating compressor, the scroll compressor works in a circular motion. This eliminates many of the noisy moving parts found in a reciprocating compressor, which allows for a smoother and quieter operation.
DuraGuard protection package is included with the 113A to improve durability by guarding the unit from the elements. A cabinet constructed of galvanized steel protects the internal components of the system from external threats, while a dense wire coil guard is also available. These features help to prolong the service life of the unit and reduce maintenance costs.
The powder-coated paint job and ceramic coated cabinet screws keep the unit looking its very best year-round. The screws are color-matched to the unit to further increase the aesthetic appeal of the air conditioner.
The 113A is backed by a 10 year limited parts warranty. Optional extended warranties that may cover labor costs may also be available for homeowners who want added peace of mind.
