Wilton Manors

Wilton Manors, also known as the “second gayest city” in the United States, this city is a landmark for GLBT’s in the area, GLBT is an acronym commonly known as Gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, and transgender. This community opens its arms for all sexual preferences and embraces its reputation throughout the city for sexual freedom. The city of Wilton Manors is affiliated with Rainbow Business Coalition as a joint sponsor, annually held is the Summer Stonewall Pride attracting over 15,000 visitors. The Pride Center at Equality Park is the GLBT community center. The city took flight in 1999 when the Domestic Partnership Ordinance was extended offering equal benefits to city employees and their domestic partners. This ordinance encouraged it’s vendors to abide by these rules as well as providing proof they do not discriminate. Wilton Manors is a unique city and a strong sense of welcome and freedom. The city prides itself on their stand against discrimination they stated “The City of Wilton Manors is a place where diversity is not tolerated, but embraced. We welcome you here!”
